Hair Removal - Forever Bare BBL

How it works:

Forever Bare BBL uses Broad Band Light (BBL) to remove unwanted hair effectively and painlessly. Pigment (melanin) in the hair follicles are targeted and destroyed without harming the skin.

Which areas can be treated?

Common treatment areas permanent hair removal include the face and upper lip, neck, underarms, private areas (Brazilian/Bikini/Boyzilian), arms, legs, back and buttocks, chest, shoulders and abdomen.

What to expect:

A cool gel is applied to the treatment area, followed by the application of the BBL Handpiece, which simultaneously emits light energy that targets the hair follicle while cooling the skin surface.

Forever Bare BBL treatments are customised to the individual’s skin color, hair color and hair density, and is suitable for all skin types including darker skin types. This versatile treatment treats every area on the body, with custom made handpiece areas for different body parts. Due to the fast firing rate, large areas of the body can be treated efficiently.

Before and after your treatment:

Avoid UV exposure (sun tan, indoor tan) for 2 weeks before and after the treatment. Avoid waxing, plucking or bleaching. Shave the day before or on the day itself. After treatment, the skin will be slightly red, similar to a mild sunburn. Post treatment skincare will be recommended with return to normal expected in 2-3 days. Treated hairs will continue to grow for a few days before dropping off.

Unlike traditional laser hair removal where a strong blast of laser energy is delivered, Forever BARE BBL sends multiple, lower-powered pulses at a high repetition rate that allows for a gradual build up of energy in the targeted hair follicles. This translates into a gentle, painless yet highly effective treatment. Using a smooth motion treatment pattern allows for a large surface area to be treated evenly, ensuring no areas are “missed out”. Treatments are tailored to the individual’s skin type, hair color and hair density, using energy settings that have been validated.

How many sessions are required to see results?

Each treatment reduces the density and thickness of hair at treated areas by 20-30%. Due to the natural growth cycles of your hair, 5-8 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart are recommended to achieve 80-90% permanent hair reduction.
