JuveLook is a 2 in 1 skinbooster that acts as a collagen stimulator and hydration booster. Key ingredients are: PDLLA (Poly-D-Lactic-Acid) and HA (Hyaluronic acid). This 2 in 1 preparation provides quick onset skin hydration while promoting collagen production for long-lasting skin rejuvenation. JuveLook is used to treat signs of skin ageing such as fine lines, wrinkles, pores and acne scars. JuveLook can be injected with a needle or an injector gun.
Lenisna (JuveLook Volume) contains the same key ingredients as Juvelook- PDLLA (Poly-D-Lactic-Acid) and HA (Hyaluronic acid). The PDLLA particles of Lenisna (JuveLook Volume) are larger and hence have a more collagen stimulating effect. While JuveLook is injected superficially, Lenisna (JuveLook Volume) is meant to be injected into the deeper layer of the skin. Lenisna (JuveLook Volume) is suitable for individuals who are experiencing facial volume loss and are looking for long lasting and natural looking rejuvenation and volume replacement. Lenisna (JuveLook Volume) is also used to treat loose skin on the body (eg tummy area). Lenisna (JuveLook Volume) is injected using a special blunt tipped needle known as a cannula.
PDLLA stands for Poly-D-Lactic Acid, which is the D-isomer of Poly-Lactic Acid, a biocompatible polymer that has been in medical use (eg orthopaedic implants, sutures) for over 40 years and is US FDA approved. Poly-lactic acid has been used for aesthetic purposes for over 20 years, with a long track record of effectiveness and safety. Through a patented manufacturing technique, the molecules of JuveLook and Lenisna (JuveLook Volume) have a round structure with a porous center, as compared to Sculptra which has irregular edges. The uniform and porous round structure of Juvelook and Lenisna (JuveLook Volume) is believed to result in better results and lower risks of complications such as granulomas.
Think of Lenisna (JuveLook Volume) as the “Big Sister” to JuveLook. For younger patients who are looking for smoother glowing skin, JuveLook treatments get the job done. However, for clients who may be older or have experienced significant facial volume loss, Lenisna (JuveLook Volume) is recommended to treat the deeper layers of skin which have become depleted of collagen. JuveLook is a skinbooster- improving skin quality WITHOUT significant changes to a person’s facial volume (ie- will not change the way you look much), while Lenisna (JuveLook Volume) is a Collagen stimulating filler- both improving skin quality AND changing facial volume (ie- Lenisna increases facial volume for a refreshed look)
Yes! As JuveLook and Lenisna (JuveLook Volume) are injected at different layers of the skin, many doctors and clinics are combining the treatment with good results. A personalised treatment plan taking into account the client’s age and desired outcomes will yield optimal outcomes.
