Juvelook (素颜针) and Rejuran (婴儿针) skinboosters need no introduction: both are wildly popular injectable skinboosters from Korea that have taken the world by storm. Less than 5 years from being launched, they are now some of the most commonly requested anti-ageing aesthetic treatments in skincare clinics around the world.
Beauty trends in Medical Aesthetics move at light speed, but smooth and glowing skin is timeless. Nicknamed “Korean Glass Skin” or “baby skin”- this refers to skin that is well hydrated, firm and free of blemishes like pigmentation or acne marks.
Skinboosters refer to medications that are injected directly into the skin by doctors to improve skin health- they typically contain active ingredients that boost collagen production and hydration. A wide range of injectable skinboosters exist- each claiming to be “God’s Gift” to humanity. In such a saturated market, only a product that truly delivers as promised can stand the test of time.
Juvelook has won Korea’s Skinbooster of the year 2022 and 2023- two consecutive years, as voted by Korean doctors! Meanwhile, Rejuran has expanded it’s product offerings to include 4 kinds of injectable skinbooster and a comprehensive cosmetic range, often sold out in Korea!
JuveLook contains 2 key ingredients- Poly – D- Lactic-Acid (PDLLA) and Hyaluronic acid (HA).
JuveLook comes in 2 forms- Juvelook Skinbooster and JuveLook Volume aka Lenisna. For a detailed discussion of the difference between Juvelook skinbooster and Juvelook Volume aka Lenisna, read more here.
Rejuran contains 1 key ingredient- Polynucleotides (PN), derived from Salmon DNA.

Both Juvelook (素颜针) and Rejuran (婴儿针) are versatile treatments that can address a wide range of skin concerns and can be used in all skin types. Common treatment areas include the face, neck, upper chest and hands.
Both Juvelook (素颜针) and Rejuran (婴儿针) can treat the following concerns
Each treatment session takes ~30 minutes, with ~20 minutes of numbing cream (topical anaesthetic) applied, followed by administration of Juvelook (素颜针) or Rejuran (婴儿针) by manual injection or using a injector gun (recommended!!).
For both Juvelook (素颜针) and Rejuran (婴儿针): an initial series of 3-5 treatments spaced a month apart are recommended. Maintenance treatments are performed every 4-6 months after the initial series of treatments. Results are seen after 2-3 treatments and can last for 1-2 years.
Injection method: injector gun vs manual injection- injector gun administration is preferred as it is less painful with smaller bumps and less bruising. With proper use of injector gun, leakage is minimal and results are comparable to manual injection.
Downtime is minimal: expect small bumps on the skin as well as mild redness and swelling that recovers in 1-2 hours. Occasionally there may be small bruises which take a few days to disappear.
The answer to the question is…. No one knows for sure. Both Juvelook (素颜针) and Rejuran (婴儿针) have their die hard fanbase. Both can achieve smooth “Korean Glass Skin” for their clients. To date, there has been no published study that directly compared the results of Juvelook (素颜针) and Rejuran (婴儿针). Some Korean clinics are mixing Juvelook together with Rejuran, although that is off label.
Based on our own experience with both products, we have observed that Juvelook has stronger collagen boosting effects, making it more suitable for skin rejuvenation and acne scar remodeling. Meanwhile, Rejuran has better anti-inflammatory effects, which is useful when treating distressed and sensitive skin. For our clients who wish to do both treatments, we recommend a 2 week interval between treatments (ie. wait 2 weeks after Juvelook administration to do Rejuran injections).
